A Woman’s Sacrifice

Well, it has been a while since I posted in my blog. I guess I have been a little preoccupied.

Sometimes in life, we have to make certain sacrifices. Recently, I made sacrifices to improve my health. In turn, I gained the opportunity to become a better mom and wife. I am able to put my kids on the bus. I am home when they get from school. I am able to help them with their homework without becoming frustrated.

My family seems to appreciate the fact that I am THERE. It feels good to be THERE for my family. I didn’t realize how much I had changed. STRESS can definitely alter your life if you don’t get it under control.
Stress doesn’t ever disappear. I would have been a fool to think that it would. However, my good days are definitely out weighing my bad days….and I won’t complain.

So, today I decided to share. Although I gave up a career to stop and smell the roses, I have gained so many other things. I now have time to really work on finishing my book, When It Rains, It Pours.

In life, you will have to make certain sacrifices. This means that you are willing to give up SOMETHING. However, in the end, you also GAIN something that you may not have ever imagined. So, when you SACRIFICE, you always have FAITH to sustain you.

That is all!

50 years in the opposite direction…

Hello my good people!  It has been awhile since I have created a post.  I have been very busy.  However, I am so distraught by the comments that are taking place in regards to this election.  It almost seems like we have digressed 50 years!  This poem fell upon my heart.  I hope you read it and understand that we must move forward.  If you believe in a higher power…if you believe in God, then you know that HATE will not get you in the kingdom of God.  I am definitely not a preacher, but it is time to STOP and move forward.  The crisis that United States is in at this time does not have anything to do with race…and everything to do with how we as a nation prioritize!  We have put Education on a back burner.  China, on the other hand, puts education on a pedestal.  Why?  Because they know that by educating their youth…you secure the future!  Enough said! Enjoy!

When Hatred Rears Its Ugly Head  by Nicole Rountree

When hatred rears its ugly head, you wonder where some people find the words… the words to say such horrible and hurtful things…without regards to feelings or the consequences that their words will bring.

People you thought could never be…are the racist of racist among society.  Racism is an ugly word…even uglier than its sight. A racist is anyone who decides  that their color is the only one that is right.

Red, Yellow, Blue or Brown…the common denominator is greater than what the eyes have found. It goes beyond the depths of the skin. It is the soul that lies deep within.   Long ago it was accepted and people turned their heads. Today, it is still accepted but is in hibernation until something ugly rears its head.

Racism is an ugly truth, but it is up to you to help uplift our youth.

Each one must teach one!

Teach them that color transcends through more than just the skin…it is the beauty of the unified color that pumps within. © Dr. Nicole Rountree
